Resultados de la curva de aprendizaje de las primeras 1000 colelap en el Hospital Esmeraldas Sur

Abstract
Introducción: La colecistectomía laparoscópica es un procedimiento quirúrgico ampliamente utilizado en países desarrollados para tratar los cálculos biliares, debido a sus beneficios como menor dolor postoperatorio y recuperación más rápida. Sin embargo, esta técnica presenta una tasa relativamente alta de complicaciones graves en comparación con la cirugía abierta. Objetivo: Este estudio tiene dos objetivos principales: evaluar los resultados de la colecistectomía laparoscópica y analizar la curva de aprendizaje de los cirujanos durante las primeras 1000 operaciones realizadas en el Hospital Delfina Torres de Concha a lo largo de 10 años. Material y métodos: Se utilizó un protocolo de recopilación de datos que incluyó variables como sexo, edad, estado físico según la clasificación ASA, procedencia de los pacientes, conversión a cirugía abierta, técnica operatoria, duración de la operación, complicaciones inmediatas, lesiones biliares iatrogénicas, duración de la estancia hospitalaria y morbimortalidad. Resultados y conclusiones: Nuestro estudio buscó evaluar los resultados de la colecistectomía laparoscópica y la curva de aprendizaje de los cirujanos en un período de 10 años y 1000 intervenciones en el Hospital Delfina Torres de Concha de segundo nivel del ministerio de salud pública. Al comparar nuestros resultados con estándares internacionales, observamos indicadores excelentes con una baja incidencia de complicaciones las mismas que desaparecieron cuando la curva de aprendizaje mejoro en el tiempo y número de casos operados, lo que subraya la importancia de continuar mejorando nuestra experiencia quirúrgica para beneficiar a nuestros pacientes.
